Reverse Osmosis Systems
Everything you need to know about RO filtration: how it works, which type fits your home, and the best systems on the market right now.
How reverse osmosis works
Reverse osmosis pushes water through a semi-permeable membrane that rejects up to 99% of dissolved solids — including lead, fluoride, chlorine, nitrates, and many microplastics. A typical multi-stage system combines sediment and carbon pre-filters, the RO membrane itself, and a polishing post-filter for clean, great-tasting water.
